Python Program to Simplify the Process of Operations Planning

Student: Abdullah Alsakka, Uppsala University
Supervisor: Michiko Morooka

Abstract

A Python program was written and tested to simplify the operations planning for the Radio and Plasma Wave Investigation (RPWI) instrument developed by the Swedish Institute for Space Physics (RPWI) and currently onboard of the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE). The program helps scientists and define scientific tasks and automate the process of creating a timeline for the journey. This program can be expanded to simplify any operations plan as long as a SPICE kernel exists, but might be limited to RPWI scientific requirements.
